The Porta - a gateway to success

It is important that you get into the habit of reading widely to add to the information that you receive in your lessons. In that way, you can start to see the bigger picture, and think in a holistic or synoptic fashion, as you start to see connections between the different topics that we will be covering over the next two years.
Dr. Jones has fortunately made many excellent sources of information available to you all via the Porta.
This can be accessed through Firefly and the Porta page.

The link here will take you to the Digital Resources section (after you've logged in)

There are some important resources for you to access here. These include:
- New Scientist
- The Times
- Philip Allan (Geography Review magazine - aimed at 'A' level, but good for those wanting a high grade)
- Issues Online
- Questia

The Porta is also a wonderful place to study in peace and quiet...
